QSLing. Ways to send/receive contact confirmation

Postby n4mj » Sat Nov 20, 2010 10:43 pm

There are several ways to get confirmation of a contact with DX stations.

One way is to QSL the card(s) direct via postal service.

A second way is to send QSL cards via the bureau, aka buro. For us in 4 land here is a link to the ARRL buro page and info: http://www.cdxa.org/qsl-bureau.shtml

A third way is to use Log Book of the World, LoTW.

The fourth way is known as EQSL. Cards via EQSL DO NOT count for credit with ARRL for awards.

Glenn I did notice last night on DXscape a guy that seems is always on the air NH7RO from HI. He does not accept eQSL's or LOTW. He only accepted and used option 1 and 2. Is that the norm for Hams to do that?

I've noticed with the ones i've sent out... Most request QSL Direct with IRC or greenstamps, some via QSL managers, and even less using buro and LoTW
