I was just looking at DXScape. And since Friday there have been only a hand full of 28.300 to 28.500 listings. But there have been gobs of 28.000 to 28.300 listings on there. Even this morning there have no listing for phone and pages for cw. Is cw less affected by propagation and flares than voice? I have been reading on this a little and some of it I understand and some I don't.

i think the contest that was going on this weekend was cw. Jamie correct me if i'm wrong. But i think it was the CQWW CW contest, but yea, i listened to lots of cw and rtty i guess...sounded just like cw only alot faster. Heard one station on 28.334 today, but just barely.

During major contests, and the CQ WW DX CW Contest (26, 27, 28 Nov) is ONE, there is an obvious lack of phone activity. Great time to ragchew on phone, if you can find anyone. Even GREATER time to chase DX on CW. Techs can work CW on 40 and 15 as well as 28.100 to 28.300 on 10 meters.

Yeah I am going to learn the code. I am going to really work on it after the holidays. My work schedule should slow down some after the first of the year. If I can learn code then I can talk to people and she will not have any idea what I am saying. HA HA
